PCR/Molecular Diagnostic Testing
What you need to know: Each germ such as HIV, TB germ, Hepatitis B germ, Gonorhea Germ, e.t.c. naturally contains unique molecules, commonly DNA or RNA. When this unique DNA/RNA molecule of that germ is detected in the patient sample, it is concrete evidence for presence of the germ as the one causing a given disease in the patient.
Under PCR/Molecular Diagnostic Tests we detect these unique DNA/RNA molecules in the patient samples, and thus accurately and rapidly diagnose presence of disease-causing germs.
